Perspective
To further its export activities the customer wished to redesign a functioning, patented product. The aim was to give the product a boost in terms of design that would generate payback in terms of a higher price and increased sales. Therefore the product had to be redesigned and industrialised with a view to increased production and marketed under a new name, as the customer's existing company profile was rooted in its role as a plumbing installation subsupplier.

At the time of start-up of the project there were only three months to go before it was to be presented at a trade fair in Chile.

Product
On 1 March, three months after start-up, the final product was being shipped to Chile - at more or less the same cost price as before and with a new design into the bargain. Using a subsupplier was thus proven to be the right decision. The Blue Comfort brand name is now selling in many countries and Guldhammer A/S´s expectations in terms of exports, turnover and higher mark-up have been 100% realised.
