To start with, the basic structure of the machine was determined and a design space defined. The basic structure of the machine was then analysed to identify process bottlenecks and alternatives to existing technology were developed.

Three different construction solutions were then outlined in close collaboration between the designers and engineers. The three design variants were put through a screening process at selected dealers and influential parties globally – based on feedback, two of the design concepts were selected for further development.

Given that many of the product parts are made in Poland, the customer assumed responsibility for all documentation and its circulation to subsuppliers, and a prototype was developed for further modification by 3PART and the customer in collaboration.
