Perspective
To develop its business area, the customer wanted a product that would supplement its existing products – tricycles for handicapped children aged 6-12 years. Rather than continue with the existing look and functionality, it was decided to redesign from scratch. The brief was: "Design a tricycle for adults with a design that looks dynamic and does not look as if it is intended for handicapped or elderly people".

Product
The result of the development process has been an increase in sales for the company of % and staff growth of %.

Within the first year of launch, the new product – under the name of ”VIKTOR” – was put on display in the Design Museum of London and subsequently won several design awards in Denmark and abroad, including the IF Product Design Award 2001 and Technical Aid of the Year 2003, as well as being nominated for the Danish Innovation & Design Award 2001.

The first model has now been supplemented with three smaller models, completing a range of cycles with the same basic design. With exports today to the Scandinavian countries, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Japan and Canada, future prospects and perspectives are very promising.
